About Me

Michaela Tratos (she/her)

Currently Licensed as a Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado and Wyoming.

I believe that everyone one of us has a chance to heal, learn, and grow. My role is to walk beside you, helping you learn who you are and identify what you need to not just survive, but thrive. When we have someone to support us, we blossom and can learn to identify what parts of us will help us become our best self.

Each emotion and behavior tells a story and a need, and it is essential to let each person tell their story the way they feel most comfortable, whether through play, creative arts, or voice, allowing the individual to find healing and support through the therapy process.

I trust that knowledge is how we learn to adapt and seek change. Understanding how our brains and emotions interact is important.  I want to walk beside you as you understand yourself and explore what you want to know more about for your own wellness journey. This may be through therapy, consulting or coaching.

I have experience working with families, children and adolescents in many different settings for over the last 15 years. My focus is on providing affirming, trauma-informed care for others in helping professionals, children, adolescents, and families. I have seen that a child’s behavior can be directly influenced by an adult’s willingness to help the family grow. Each of us have an impact on those around us.

I graduated from University of Wyoming with a B.S. of Family Science, then completed a M.S. in Community Mental Health Counseling in 2018.

My service dog Emmett joins me for every session, whether online or in person. We strive to bring you the best care to help you grow and heal.
